In the modern society we live in, cellular phone is already a necessity; no longer valid is the notion that this is merely a luxurious toy except perhaps for children who do not use the phone in its full capacity. Unfortunately, although it may be a good idea for minors to have them, not one of them would accept a simple basic cell phone that only made calls and sent SMS would they? The truth is that the growth of cell phones has astounded everyone and not even the manufacturers could have foreseen its success. Land based phones may not have a bright future unless they can incorporate more of a cell phones functions. The ring tone and cellular phone wallpaper market (screen background) is huge but it does allow each cell phone to be customized to suit the user.

In order to make the process as simple as possible, cell phone users can now get these wallpapers directly from internet sites. Now, using the cell phones own camera, images can be used as wallpaper and even sent to other phones. Additionally, this modern technology also allows a picture taken from a digital camera to function as your phone wallpaper but you will need to upload the image to your phone.

If that is not enough, just to personalize the cellular phone wallpaper a little more, an individual text message can be displayed on the image. For the many cell phone users that are not able to customize their phone in this way, it is not something that should really concern them. Cell hone ring tones are another way of giving you phone that individual feel so even if your phone cannot change its background, you may find that the ring tone can be changed to make your model more individual. For a small number of cell phone users, none of this will matter at all because they only need the phone to make calls and the occasional SMS message.

You must never forget what the cell phone is actually for and remember that sending a SMS text does not need the most popular background or ring tone to help it on its way! You do not need fancy cellular phone wallpapers or ring tones to have a functional phone as they’re only purpose is to provide the cell phone with an individual look. Many people become angry by others use of phones so remember that you have a responsibility to others when you make a call. You are not your phone so when you make calls remember that people are judging your behavior, not your phone’s appearance.

Turning off your phone when you are in a meeting for example, shows respect for those that are also there. The type of wallpaper will not impress people as much as you turning your phone off in a meeting and may induce others to copy your good cell phone etiquette. In an age where people think about how they look to others a great deal, it is surprising that this has not improved cell phone etiquette but this means that you can do something to change the situation.
