This horizontal 2 transistor Melson Boys Radio was manufactured in Japan circa 1960. I am unsure who the manufacturer was although it does use two Matsushita transistors... Many Boys Radios do not have model numbers but contrary to that this Melson does; TR-24 is written on the schematic drawing inside the radio.

This tiny Melson Boys Radio appears to have been modeled after the earlier Motorola ‘Jetwing’. Looking at the front of this radio there is definitely some ‘jetwing’ action going on! Well either that or some 'handgun' action...
It is very small and measures just 63mm H x 112mm W!
This Melson tr-24 features a great Aqua color cabinet and a textured metal speaker grill. The ‘Melson’ badge is written ‘Hollywood’ style!
